How we work

What happens to an invoice after you send it.

Plain description, no sales copy

Who does the review

The checking is done by an AI system, Anthropic's Claude, following a written audit playbook. The playbook was built by a product leader who has spent years in LTL pricing and shipping software. We say this up front because you should know what is reading your documents, and because it is the reason a small batch can be audited for free: the work that used to need a clerk and a rate desk now takes minutes.

The service is in beta. While it is, a person reads every report before it is sent to you.

Every finding shows its arithmetic and names the document it came from. You do not have to trust the conclusion. You can check it.

What is checked on each invoice

  1. Match. The invoice is paired with its bill of lading by PRO, date, origin and destination. Duplicates and invoices with no matching BOL are listed separately.
  2. Density and class. Weight and dimensions from the BOL, and from the inspection certificate if there is one, are run through the standard 13-step density scale. We compare the class you shipped, the class billed, and the class each set of measurements supports.
  3. Weight. The reweigh figure is compared with the BOL weight and any scale ticket or carton data you supplied.
  4. Dimensions. Carrier measurements are compared with yours, looking for trailer-height defaults, added overhang, and piece-count differences.
  5. Accessorials. Each extra charge is checked against what the BOL requested and what the delivery receipt shows was done.
  6. Deadline. Days remaining to contest, counted from the bill date, with a note where a 3PL's terms are likely to govern.

What we will not do

  • We do not tell you a correction is wrong when your own numbers support it. Expect a share of every batch to come back marked pay.
  • We do not guess at your carrier's tariff or your contract. Where a finding depends on terms we have not seen, the report says so and asks for them.
  • We do not promise a recovery. Carriers decide disputes, and a well-supported dispute still loses sometimes.
  • We do not give legal advice.

Limits you should know about

The density scale covers most commodities but not all. Some items have a fixed class or special rules for handling, stowability or liability, and an FAK in your pricing agreement replaces the scale for the classes it covers. If your notes tell us what you ship and what your pricing says, the report accounts for it. If they do not, findings are stated as conditional.

Scans that cannot be read are reported as unread, not interpreted.

Your documents

Uploads go to private storage that is not publicly reachable. They are used to produce your audit and for nothing else. Ask and they are deleted. Details are on the privacy page.
